Mako Supports NSW Police and Emergency Services Games

Story by Dominic Wiseman

The NSW Police and Emergency Services Games was held between the 15th and 18th of March 2015 in the Wollongong region.

1600 entrants competed in a variety of events including angling, staged over 3 days at Greenwell Point.

Makos Murray Chapman was lucky enough to win the inshore section for the ninth time. Murray's 13 year old son Scott took out the junior section and nailed the biggest overall fish, a 93cm Flathead, that was quickly measured, photographed and released. Well done Scotty! Fishing the tidal flats on the first day was tough with heavy overcast conditions and a strong southerly blowing.

"The Mako copper lens range allowed Murray and Scott to cut through the low light conditions to find the weed and sand patches off the channel edges."

Mako kicked in with some shirt and cap prize giveaways and are proud to be sponsors of this event.
